Our Program
Our guest speaker, John Ruga, is CEO of Northeast Precast and a principal in the Trout National - The Reserve, an 18-hole championship private golf course under construction in Vineland in conjunction with MLB Star and Millville native, Mike Trout. He said the goal is to have the course opened in October 2025.
John opened his talk with a golf joke poking fun at our own Mike Loyle. The joke had everyone laughing!
The golf course project will include a state of the art clubhouse, five-star lodging, innovative amenities including a flexible short course and expansive putting course with world-class practice facilities and a performance center.
The course was originally under the design control of Jack Nicholas Jr. but those responsibilities are now assigned to Tiger Woods' golf design company - TGR Designs. The course has been designed to be able to host major PGA events. He explained that eventually, the course and its facilities will attract people not only from around the country, but around the world.
John spoke of humble beginnings with a dream of being a cabinet maker. He and his wife of 32 years, Lori, has been beside him "every step of the way". He said they couldn't have children but are happy now to have 450 employees. He credits his faith for his life successes.
Thank you John for speaking with us and we appreciate your decision to help sponsor our upcoming Vineland Rotary Golf Outing. We look forward to seeing your dream of Trout National becoming a reality that will benefit our community!
