Announcements:

Dawn Hunter passed around the new Chamber of Commerce community guides.

Josie distributed and asked Rotarians a series of fun Halloween trivia questions.

Josie thanked Suzanne Martinelli and Preston Foster for their dedication and hard work in helping Suzanne achieve her goal of raising $1,000 in Boscov’s coupons!!! Fantastic job to you both!

Josie reminded everyone to USE YOUR CAMERAS! They are due in December!

Josie congratulated past president, Jay Einstein and the club for the excellence award that the club recently received for 2024-2025!

Josie announced an exciting new initiative called Rotary Community Heroes! She distributed nomination forms for individuals or groups who go above and beyond to make Vineland a better place to live and truly change the face of our community in remarkable ways.

Through this initiative, nominees—who must be non-Rotarians—will be honored with a special lunch and presented with a certificate of recognition. The first honorees will be the Vineland Historical Society.

Josie announced the club is looking to start a "Book Club" and possibly a "Walking Club". The book club will not start until after January. Andy Browne, will help spearhead this project. A signup sheet was distributed.

Ed Morvay announced that the candidate for the Vocational Service Award has been selected and will be revealed next Tuesday.

Joe O'Rourke reminded everyone of the Halloween Fellowship on Friday, 10/31 at the Rudco farm. Thank you to Joe and Nick for donating and sponsoring a table for Rotarians.

Dave Schad reminded everyone that the road cleanup will be held on 11/13 at the Vineland Industrial Park at 2 PM. A signup sheet was passed around.

Alicia Fichera reminded everyone about the upcoming Pedals for Progress event taking place at DNS Solutions on Saturday, November 8th. Volunteers are greatly needed and appreciated! She encouraged members to help spread the word and to keep an eye out for bikes and sewing machines to donate. Anyone needing assistance with coordinating a pickup can reach out to Alicia directly.

Sherri reminded members of the 5K Jingle Run/Walk scheduled for 12/6, she has posters with the QR Code that contains race info and sponsorship info available. Proceeds benefit Wreaths of Remembrance.
