Announcements
President Jay Einstein opened the meeting with a heartfelt story about his experience at the Gift of Life event the evening prior. The Vineland Rotary Club presented a $1,000 donation to the the Gift of Life program on Monday evening. Our district is an active participant and has donated over $153,000 to the Gift of Life in the last year. Every 90 minutes a child's life is saved because of what the Rotary Club contributes. Rotary sponsored 5,000 procedures last year. Jay was proud to represent our club at the event in Tom's River and encourages more members to attend the next Gift of Life event.
A warm welcome to our guest, Liz Reynolds, Preston Centuolo's longtime friend who visited today. Liz also helps with The Youth Alliance!

Our guest speakers were Brian McPeak, Executive Director of the Bay Atlantic Symphony and Jed Gaylin, Music Director of the Bay Atlantic Symphony.
The Bay Atlantic Symphony, formerly known as the Bridgeton Symphony has been around for 42 years. They are a performance and education organization with an artistic vision driven by the philosophy that music is essential to life. The Symphony provides access to excellence in performance and music education that enhances the musicians, presenters, participants, and community. They perform a steady stream of concerts. There are 5 full series programs from October through May. Each concert has a Saturday performance at Rowan College of South Jersey Cumberland Campus and a Sunday performance at Stockton.
In addition to the music, their goal is to have a connection with the community and with the schools. They offer music education including mentor programs and complete school concerts for the students. Jed puts together an entire curriculum for the students to see music in action.
The Bay Atlantic Symphony is the only professional symphony that operates across the Southern most counties of New Jersey. Bay Atlantic Symphony is a per-service orchestra comprised of union musicians.
Major funders include the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, The Presser Foundation, and Woodruff Energy.
