Our Program:
Our program was presented by The Espoma Company at their corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility in Millville, NJ.
The family run company is operating under its fourth generation of leadership.
Espoma Company manufacturers dozens of fertilizers that are used in home gardens and landscaping. Their products are sold at local hardware stores, chain stores and big box stores across the nation.
Michael, the current CEO, started the presentation with a brief overview of the company and its beginnings before handing the reins over to his son Jeremy.
Jeremy discussed the construction of the facility, the operations of the facility, how they partner with multiple vendors in the livestock industry for essential ingredients for their products and the future of the business.
They are currently constructing a vertical integration plant in Pennsylvania which will be able to prepare the raw manure, the basic building block for their fertilizer, on a scale that will help ensure a constant supply for manufacturing.
The plant manager, Clyde, led the Rotary group on a tour of the facility and answered many questions regarding the manufacturing of the product.
